HOW DOES THE TRILIFT WORK?

TRILIFT is built with 2 parts. The 1st part is the lift; It mount into a car receiver Hitch. The Lift has a male triangle that can go up and down. The 2^nd part is the Bracket. It has a female triangle channel, to fit on the male triangle. the Bracket is custom designed to bolt-on the scooter, or wheel chair permanently. When pushing the lift down switch, the male triangle will go all the way down, close enough to the ground; Drive your scooter so that the female bracket on scooter, will fit on top of the male lift triangle. when you push the switch up, the lift will grab the bracket and the scooter and lock it together. With our patented triangular interlocking design Trilift will make your scooter transportation a breeze.

I tried 4 different types of scooter lifts for my van & researched many more. After looking at & trying all of the others I happened to find the trilift.
I ordered a trilift & sent the others back.It is the handiest piece of equip.
I have ever purchased. I can not see why anyone would consider using any other outside the vehicle lift.

Eddie, I got to thinking about some of the things I’d mentioned about my TriLift that are plus things and hadn’t included pictures showing tohoe, so I went out this morning and took 3 more picture. I hope they are helpful.

I’ve also at times towed a trailer with my car, and to unhook the TriLift and put on the tow ball for the trailer is a snap to do with the light weight of TriLift. Putting it back on is quick and easy also.

Rear window is up while TriLift is in up position. Easy to put things in and out of back that fits window opening.

TriLift in leaning back position, and rear door of vehicle open. Note there’s plenty of room on either side of TriLift to load groceries and other items. We’ve even transported 4′ X 8′ sheets of plywood and foam insulation, with door tied to TriLift in this position. It rode with no problems. Lifts that have ramps on them would get in the way in either folded or down position, but not the TriLift.

Note, my 1984 “The Establishment” Class “C” motor home (with Ford E350 Van cab and chassis) in the background. That’s the one we’ve towed our vehicle (with scooter docked on the TriLift) to go camping on vacations, and don’t have to worry about it at all. If we unhook the tow bar from the vehicle and camper, the scooter is still already on the vehicle where ever we drive. I can even unlock the scooter in a campground withe the vehicle still attached to the Motor Home, if we’re staying at the campground all the time.

Eddie, Just wanted to let you know that I love my TriLift. It works great, and didn’t take much practice to learn how to align the triangles up. Sometimes, I lean against the scooter when lifting, if I’m on a little incline. Below I’ve got a picture of the Amigo Fiesta IV-12 Scooter mounted on my 2004 Ford Escape which is on a 16′ Car Hauler trailer to be towed with my motor home….

I have had many people asked me about the triLift, and I always give them your website, and explain how great you we’re in taking care of the problem I’d had with the on place mounting ramps on the bracket instead of putting the bracket on the scooter. By the way, that installer is now out of business.

Thanks again, you rate 4 star+ to me. I’ve even emailed your website to a dealer in Waynesboro, VA.

How does the TRILIFT connect to my vehicle and what are the requirements?

TRILIFT fits most vehicles. The following standard towing equipment is
required on your vehicle:

Class 2 for ULTRA LITE and class 3 for standard trilift, 7 way trailer connector, Auxiliary
power wiring

How does the docking bracket attached to the scooter?

The docking bracket bolts to the scooter / power wheelchair frame and typically utilizes u-bolts or u-clamps for attachment. Most application required no drilling.

What keeps my scooter locked on and prevents it from bouncing off?

With a touch of a button our patented triangular interlocking system double locks your scooter or power wheelchair in the uplifted position
by wedging the docking bracket triangle into a specially designed lock bracket that is welded to the post of the lift. No cumbersome straps or clamps to mess with.

Will I be able to open the rear door of my vehicle once TRILIFT is installed?

Yes, a tilt option is available for most SUV’s & Vans and trucks.

Can I load my scooter / power chair in my garage and still have enough clearance to back out into the street?

TRILIFT carries your scooter / power chair with significantly more ground clearance than all others lifts and in most instances can be loaded in your garage or driveway.

How much does the trilift weight?

I have a smaller vehicle and i am concerned about the weight. TRILIFT weighs about 1/2 as much as all other outside lifts, the standard TRILIFT weighs 65 lb. & the new TRILIFT ULTRA LITE weights under 40 lb.
